Pietracupa House

Type:Residential
Place:Pietracupa, Campobasso, Italy
Year:2010
Status:Completed
Pietracupa House is a charming rustic retreat nestled in the quaint town of Pietracupa—often called the “Bethlehem of Molise” for its unique character and close-knit cluster of homes built around a striking Cenozoic rock formation.
Fully restored after the 2002 earthquake, the house is now a welcoming holiday home spread across three floors. The ground floor features a well-equipped kitchen and a cosy living area. An internal staircase leads to the upper two floors, which house five comfortable bedrooms and two modern bathrooms.
The local climate is especially pleasant, with breezy summers and mild winters. In the late 16th century, a noblewoman from the D’Evoli family wrote that the vassals of Pietracupa, blessed by the area’s healthy air, often lived peacefully up to 100 years. Whether legend or fact, the region’s fertile soil continues to support the cultivation of wheat, olives, fruit trees, and vines — a testament to the richness of this serene countryside..
